In my opinion, that is going to be the next big boom in real estate. Ok, after the bust drops home values in halve, the next opportunity will be building and rehabbing green properties. I live in Chicago and you can see it happening already. The Mayor has an initiative to make Chicago the Greenest city in the world...that is his goal and he seems very determined to do that. Nevertheless, they are putting together special tax breaks, grants, and loans for developers and real estate investors that are interested in pushing forward with the green frenzy! You are right, green is where it is at. In my opinion, that is going to be the next big boom in real estate.
