Set your goals
Do I need two bedrooms or three? Will a den work as a third bedroom?
Brandon Green Companies will help answer these questions, and will listen and ask questions to understand what’s important to you—all part of our exceptional focus on your needs. In addition to physical requirements, we will inquire about your neighborhood preferences and help you determine your appropriate price range. Here are some of the questions we will ask you:
- How many bedrooms are you looking for?
- How many bathrooms are you looking for?
- Are there any other types of rooms that you want?
- Where do you want to live?
- How big do you want your house and yard to be?
- Do you want to buy a new or existing home?
- Are you interested in purchasing a fixer upper? If so, how much work are you willing to put into your new home?
- How much do you want to spend monthly on your mortgage and insurance? If you are not sure, check out our handy calculators:

Buyer representation: your advocate
After listening to what you are looking for, Brandon Green Companies will explain buyer representation. Without a buyer-representation agreement, real estate agents represent the seller. At your meeting we will explain the particulars of this law. When an agent represents the seller, he or she has an obligation to tell the seller everything you say, including how much you are willing to pay. Obviously, this information can compromise your negotiating power.
To prevent this conflict of interest, you need a buyer agent. Buyer-representation agreements can be established for any time period.
As your real estate team, Brandon Green Companies does not represent the seller. Instead, we are your advocate, negotiating on your behalf, protecting your information, and representing your interests—our focus is your needs, and our customized process helps successfully match you with your goals.
The seller pays for Brandon Green Companies services
Most of the time, the seller pays for our services. We will explain the compensation structure, including what happens when this fee is not paid for by the seller’s proceeds, at our first meeting. (For more information about how agents are paid, check out our page for first-time buyers.)
